Erin is a lifelong Disney fanatic who grew up less than 30 minutes from Disneyland in California. Armed with an annual pass for many years, Erin enjoyed visiting the Park as often as possible, developing an addiction to collecting anything related to Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Villains, and of course Winnie the Pooh. In 2009, Erin also developed quite a fondness for Tokyo DisneySEA’s Duffy the Disney Bear, who is quickly overtaking Winnie the Pooh in display space!
After moving away from Southern California, Erin continued to feed her Disney obsession by visiting Disneyland as often as possible and showcasing her art and collectibles in her home, which was often known as “The Disney Museum” by neighbors and friends.
In 2009 Erin moved to Asia and has fulfilled her dream of visiting the international Disney Parks on a regular basis. For over three years, her “home” parks were Hong Kong Disneyland and the Tokyo Disney Resort. After leaving Asia, she moved to Europe — only a 3.5 hour drive from Disneyland Paris. Today, she splits time between Belize and the Netherlands, still managing to attend most of the international Disney events.
Her Disney obsession has led her to do several crazy trips like a RTW Disney trip that took her to every Disney Resort during one month, and multiple other trips that took her to three Disney resorts within one week! Since Erin travels to attend many Disney events, she maintained annual passes to all the Disney Theme Parks until recently. She still tries to visit the parks in Asia and Disneyland in California 4-5 times per year — especially during seasonal and special collectible events.
Erin is a full-time freelance travel and food and wine writer/photographer who has traveled to 70 countries/six continents to date. She is able to combine her passion for Disney with her work and writes about Disney Theme Parks travel for several publications, including TripSavvy (formerly About.com), TripAdvisor, CNNGo and Roam Right Travel Insurance. She previously wrote the Worldwide Disney Theme Parks column on Examiner.com as well. Currently, Erin writes for clients in both the travel and legal industries, and she is a hotel reviewer for a major travel media company.
After a couple year hiatus needed to focus on her regular writing career, Erin has finally rebranded Pooh’s Travels into the Disney Globetrotter and is relaunching soon.
